November has been the month to develop and improve our computer skills. Kindergarten students have done a great job logging on to the computer (those student numbers can be very, very long!). They have also worked hard at using the mouse. Children have learned to click; double click; and click, drag and drop. We will start working on using the arrow keys. First Grade students have explored the differences between fiction and nonfiction through the use of two digital resources, PebbleGo and Tumblebooks. They each chose one animal to research in PebbleGo and then found a fictional story about the same animal. Each child reported one new fact that they learned through PebbleGo and one part of the Tumblebooks story that proved the story was fictional. Second Graders have been very busy working on their keyboarding skills. Students have done a great job working on their home row and top row keys.
